Dr Sam Weller retired in 2008 as the Director of Kodak’s European Research Division, which was based in Cambridge, UK, focusing on printing technologies, optoelectronics, materials science and consumer post image capture systems. Prior to this role, in a 36 year career at Kodak, Sam managed a variety of research, development and manufacturing activities in the UK, France and the USA. He is a Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and an Honorary Fellow of UNICEF, and was recently awarded a Honorary Doctor of Arts from De Montfort University in recognition of his lifelong contribution to photographic research and innovation.

At present, Sam is Chair of the Greater Cambridge Partnership's International Relations Forum, whose goal is to provide strategic thinking and coordination across the key organisations that operate in the arena of international relations in the Greater Cambridge area, and to agree the broad joined-up international priorities for Greater Cambridge plc.
